COMPASS-U: Cryostat

The purpose of this Public Contract is to finish the design, manufacture, test and deliver the Cryostat and other items / tasks as defined below (hereinafter the “System”) for COMPASS-U Tokamak experimental device for primary research. The System is one of the key mechanical systems that must provide high vacuum (~ 10-5 Pa), provide thermal insulation for the main components of the tokamak, sustain forces created by Magnetic Perturbation coils (error field coils) mounted on Cryostat and sustain forces created by currents induced in the Cryostat. The System shall fully comply with the requirements and specification stipulated in the Tender Documentation, including, but not limited to, the identification of the goods, quantity and technical parameters stipulated in the Technical Specification. The System shall comprise the following items / tasks: 1) Cryostat; a) Item “Cryostat” is divided into two parts with different delivery times: i) Lower Part of Cryostat - includes mainly Cryostat supports, Cryostat base and Temporary Cryostat lid, ii) Main Body of Cryostat - includes mainly Cryostat lower, middle and upper sections, Cryostat lid, but also flanges, seals, clamps, jigs, etc. 2) Extra man-hours of project manager / engineer / designer / technician / production worker or assembly worker 3) Extra research and development activities / design activities or service activities 4) Extra machining time on CNC machine (includes work of operator) 5) Extra machining time on conventional / standard machine (includes work of operator) 6) Extra welding time (includes all costs of welding equipment and work of welder) Details concerning performance are provided in Technical Specification and in the Binding draft of Purchase Agreement (“Contract”), that are attached as annexes to the Tender Documentation.
